Continuous development: three projects to look out for in the coming months

  • January 13th, 2016

Recently, we highlighted a raft of enhancements we’ll be adding to iReports in the New Year and a few upgrade options, but the development doesn’t end there!

We just wanted to quickly share with you further changes we have in the pipeline and expect to be rolling out in the very near future:

Improved charts in PowerPoint

When a chart downloads to PowerPoint each individual graphic element is placed on a separate slide without any related text or commentary. In the pipeline is an upgrade that will ensure charts in PowerPoint look exactly as they do in iReports, including the placement of associated text on the same slide as the chart to which it relates. Not only will this make the downloaded document look smart and coherent, it will free up time previously spent reformatting.

More one-click actions

One of the goals of continuous develop is to empower end-users by having functionality appear in useful places. With that aspiration in mind, we’re redeveloping two key elements: translation and the ability to compare documents side-by-side. A one-click action for each will be added to make it easier for users to multitask as they compile notes, clippings, and produce bespoke reports.
